HOBI weekly blog recap

Below is a recap of this week’s blog posts including signs that your electronics are overheating, back to school recycling tips, expanding enterprise asset value with mobile life-cycling management, and how technology is transforming industry supply chains.

Signs Your Electronics are Overheating and What to Do

During the hotter months, electronics are at a greater risk of overheating. When the weather heats up, so will electronics, and they can present safety issues like chemical fires if not properly managed. There are several signs of overheating. The most noticeable sign is swelling. When batteries get too hot, they l expand. Lithium-Ion batteries are particularly hazardous because of their explosive nature and, unfortunately, are used in the majority of electronics.

Back to School Recycling

Students and teachers across the country are returning to classrooms for another school year, and many parents are shopping for school supplies. The average expenses in 2023 of families with children in elementary through high school is $890, $25 more than last year. In 2021, total back-to-school spending was recorded at $37 billion.

Expand Enterprise Asset Value with Mobile Lifecycle Management

Mobile devices are non-traditional IT assets that have become critical to the business world but tend to be the most expendable in some cases. When laptops, tablets, or smartphones break, consumers replace them. Enterprises spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on IT hardware, and many are unaware that the lifecycle of retired mobile devices can be expanded and their value maximized via mobile lifecycle management services.

How Tech is Transforming the Supply Chains of Industries

Technology plays a significant role in an enterprise’s  success and how well it operates and functions. The kind of technology an industry decides to adopt or incorporate within its business or organization has a vital role in its supply networks’ effectiveness. Although every industry, from food to healthcare to education, uses technology to their advantage, here are some industries and the tools they have included within their business to influence their supply chains positively.
