Apple’s Fall event took place Sep. 12, announcing several new products, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, Apple Watch Series 9, and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Apple Watch Series 9

The Apple Watch Series 9 includes new features like improved dictation, a brighter screen, Double Tap, and access to health data via Siri with Siri Health Queries. The new watch model also includes a new design featuring a new S9 SiP chip with a 30 percent faster GPU that improves system quality. The new chip enables precision location for an improved pinging experience when users track their devices. The Apple Watch Series 9 now comes in pink in addition to its traditional colors. 

Apple Watch Ultra 2

Apple Watch Ultra was first introduced last year, and Apple just announced its second generation, which includes all of the new features of the watch series 9 and a new Modular Ultra watch face. Apple Watch Ultra 2 also includes advanced metrics, updates to fitness apps, news colors, expanded altitude range, and the ability to connect Bluetooth devices. 

iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus

The long-awaited iPhone 15 is here with a new design, including contoured edges, a matte finish, and thinner borders. New features include an expanded dynamic island that enables users to access more than one app at a time, a brighter screen, Dolby support, a new advanced 48MP camera system, next-generation portraits, focus, and depth control, an A16 bionic chip, wireless features, and USBC charging capabilities. 

iPhone 15 Pro

The new iPhone 15 pro model includes all of the new features and designs of the iPhone 15,and additional features like a customizable Action Switch that replaces the volume switch and enables users to access different apps and switch accessibility whenever they choose. The new Standby mode creates a new horizontal clock display for nightstand mode. iPhone 15 Pro  includes gaming advancements, log and coding capabilities that support ACEs, Spacial Video, a new 5X telephoto camera, and performance upgrades with a new A17 pro chip that enables users to play video games previously only available on desktops. iPhone 15 Pro comes in three new titanium finishes: black, white, and dark blue. 

Apple also announced a new environmental goal, Apple 2030, a plan to maximize the use of recycled material. Apple’s sustainability goals include removing carbon from the atmosphere entirely and making all Apple products carbon-neutral, starting by eliminating all plastic from packaging by the end of next year. The company has also announced that they will no longer use leather in watch bands and will instead use a new fine-woven material made from repurposed products.
