This week, HOBI’s employee spotlight shines on a father of two with strong attention to detail and a deep appreciation for family time.
Part of the ITAD process involves repairing devices for resale, and Greg Jocke oversees the transfer from one lifecycle to another. As HOBI’s IT Sales Manager, Greg is responsible for testing device functionality after assets have been repaired and ensuring they reach their final destination, whether it’s a new user or an R2-approved vendor.
Device inspection requires a skillful assessment of IT equipment, as well as knowledge of the equipment, patience, and determination in communicating with clients and potential buyers. His extensive experience in sales contributed to his accumulation of knowledge and helped him build client relationships for almost 17 years on the HOBI team, making him a reputable team member.
Though he was born in Ohio, Greg was raised in Illinois and considers the state home. He remained there throughout adulthood and currently lives with his wife and two children. Life with young teenagers can be chaotic at times, as life becomes dictated by the routine of sports practices and school functions; however, family time is necessary to Greg. When not chasing four mischievous felines around the house, he prioritizes slowing down and soaking up time with his family after a long day of client communication and equipment inspections.
Everyone needs some downtime, and during spare evenings Greg can be found casting a line riverside, or—as the fall season is here—in front of a football game.
