This week, HOBI shines a light on Don Simms, Vice President of Operations. As a Texas native, Don grew up in Fort Worth and now oversees operations at HOBI’s Dallas location.
His various operational roles in engineering and project management equipped him with the necessary skills required to develop and oversee the processes and capacity of HOBI operations. Don has been part of the HOBI team for 17 years, reviewing and adjusting processes to meet the needs of ITAD and mobility clients and customers.
Don and his wife have celebrated 36 years of marriage with two daughters. They are actively involved with their church, serving as hosts of a home group, an experience Don describes as challenging, considering the couples are much younger.
In his free time, Don enjoys working on their house and finding unusual restaurants. Between work and church activities, spare time can feel elusive, but he hopes to rediscover a few favorite pastimes, including traveling, playing guitar, and shooting. He also possesses the unique ability to juggle.
When not at HOBI, Don can be found knee-deep in house projects, braving new cuisine, and studying how to buy art—without getting ripped off.
