Unlock the Future of Electronics Reuse this Fall.
Formerly the E-Reuse Conference, the SERI Electronics Sustainability Summit will take place October 22-24 in Austin, TX, where industry leaders will gather at the premiere electronics recycling and sustainability event to gain valuable knowledge, network with experts, and explore the latest trends shaping the future of electronics reuse. Among the many industry experts scheduled to speak, HOBI’s president, Craig Boswell, will chair a session on the evolving reuse market for mobile devices.
The summit’s scheduled events include the R2 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and SERI ESG TAC meetings, taking place Oct. 22 at 8 am. The R2 meeting will consist of representatives from key stakeholder groups responsible for developing revisions to the R2 Standard and will be a continuation of the conversations of this group in person. The ESG TAC meeting will also consist of a multi-stakeholder group developing the new SERI ESG reporting Standard for Electronics.
Both meetings will be open to the public for anyone interested in learning more by an opportunity for public comment. RSVP for members of the public is required, and an RSVP to the R2 TAC in-person meeting at the eSummit will be provided soon.
As a new facet of IT asset disposition, ESG has risen as a new industry standard and continues to be a topic of discussion. ESG reporting is a value-added ITAD service that provides transparency and accountability in three focus areas: Environmental, Social, and Governance. By disclosing environmental, social, and governance data, companies can shed some light on ESG performance and compliance, improve investor transparency, and become more environmentally aware. The ESG TAC meeting is an excellent opportunity for industry leaders to gain knowledge on the subject and learn what others in the ITAD industry are doing to achieve ESG goals.
Registration for the Electronics Sustainability Summit is now open.
