Common E-Waste Products Pose Recycling Problems

Disposable electronics, such as e-cigarettes and vape pens, have posed various health concerns for several years. These disposable products pose environmental issues because they cannot be recycled or thrown in the trash. Recycling is nearly impossible because of how they are manufactured, leaving few disposal methods available.

Protect Enterprise Data with Proper Data Center IT Asset Disposition

Data storage has evolved across generations  from filing cabinets to today’s preferred method – data centers. This means sensitive business, employee, and client data is susceptible to cyberattacks and data breaches, which makes proper IT asset management and disposition critical for data security.

EPA Invests in Environmental Justice Projects

Environmental safety has been a longstanding issue, and recently, the U.S. EPA announced $128 million in funding for 186 different environmental justice projects, including waste diversion, illegal dumping prevention, community recycling efforts, and electronics recycling.

Opportunities Provided by E-waste Recycling

Recycling electronic waste is a critical environmental issue. With the numerous benefits e-recycling offers, addressing the issue of e-waste recycling is becoming more crucial. According to the United Nations 2020 e-waste observation, the United States generates about 46 pounds of e-waste per person each year. Globally, 53.6 million metric tons of e-waste are generated annually, and only 17 percent of the waste is accurately accumulated, recorded, and recycled.
