As the primary method of enterprise data storage, data centers are an essential component of any organization, but can be a hassle to retire. Due to their size, data centers are often not viewed as IT assets, at least not in the same capacity as other assets; however, they are classified as e-waste and can be detrimental to the environment when not disposed of properly.
