Change is inevitable for any industry, and the IT asset disposition is no exception; however, the ITAD industry obstacles are somewhat more challenging to overcome. At its core, ITAD is the collection, processing, and recycling of retired, damaged, or outdated IT assets, but over time, clients’ needs have evolved, and new industry facets have emerged as providers adjust to the latest industry standards. Value-added IT asset disposition (vITAD) represents the industry changes taking hold, as additional service offerings such as reporting methods, support for remote workers, ERP integration, and ITAD for non-traditional assets.Â
