IT asset disposition is crucial to reducing global e-waste generation and partnering with an ITAD provider ensures that retired IT assets are responsibly disposed of and mitigates any environmental liabilities.
The ITAD process includes battery removal, which isn’t always an easy task. However, some are more difficult to detect and can enter the disposition stream unnoticed, increasing the risk of damage and a potential battery fire.
Partnering with an ITAD provider for mobility-managed services will help organize and manage retired assets through the disposition process. Services like data erasure and reverse logistics help protect data after retirement and during transport.
