HOBI International, Inc. began operations in an Illinois garage in February 1992 before incorporating in Illinois in September of the same year. The privately owned company is dedicated to environmentally responsible disposal of electronic waste, encompassing post-consumer, manufacturing, and assorted electronic remnants. HOBI pioneered systems for electronic waste disposal, emphasizing both financial efficiency and the minimization of environmental risks.
In a move to cater to national contracts more effectively, HOBI broadened its footprint by opening a new facility in Dallas, Texas, in 1994. This expansion continued with the addition of another facility in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2012. Today, HOBI remains at the industry forefront, offering an extensive range of services for IT, mobile, and data center asset disposition. These services include comprehensive device management, reverse logistics, data erasure, redeployment, refurbishing, recycling, and adherence to regulatory compliance.
