This week, HOBI’s employee spotlight shines on Shaun Baker, a man who spends most of his time outdoors braving the desert terrain.
Shaun was born and raised in the cultural heart of Arizona, and still resides in Phoenix. Growing up with a sister provided him with years of patience that prepared him for his role at HOBI. As the Floor Supervisor for HOBI’s Phoenix location, his days are filled with juggling many tasks, including providing support to fellow colleagues, training employees, helping to resolve any issues that may arise, and ensuring assets follow an appropriate path through the ITAD process.
The ITAD process involves multiple intricate steps, where precision is critical and even minor errors can cause delays. From data security to equipment handling, each phase demands attention to detail and technical expertise. Shaun’s background in maintaining and installing traveling industrial equipment has given him an in-depth understanding of IT hardware and its inner workings. This hands-on experience translates seamlessly into his current role at HOBI, where he plays a pivotal part in streamlining asset disposition workflows. With 12 years of dedication to the team, Shaun continues to be a vital contributor to HOBI’s operational excellence.
Outside of work, Shaun thrives in the Arizona outdoors, embracing every opportunity to connect with nature. Whether he’s casting a line lakeside, hiking through rugged desert trails, or camping under the stars, the Phoenix sun is where he feels most at home. True to his mechanic’s spirit, Shaun also enjoys long motorcycle rides, soaking in scenic views while cruising down open highways.
