vITAD: HOBI president Craig Boswell spoke on vITAD at the 2022 E-Scrap conference, defining the changing landscape of ITAD as vITAD – value-added IT Asset Disposition services. The vITAD concept augments the traditional ITAD model with ERP integration, portal customization for asset tracking, asset redeployment, re-imaging, and ESG reporting. As clients become more educated on the value proposition presented by ITAD providers, clients’ needs become more sophisticated and include requirements such as legal hold monitoring and mobile asset reprovisioning.
3PL: 3PL is a third-party logistics provider hired by other companies for warehousing, order fulfillment, and reverse logistics. HOBI offers world-class reverse logistics management throughout our service offerings and redeployment and remarketing services for devices that have yet to reach their full potential.
ESG: ESG reporting is quickly growing into an industry requirement. The standards for how a company operates regarding the planet and its people are separated into three categories: environmental, social, and governance. These standards examine how a company’s performance demonstrates environmental consciousness, how a company interacts and manages relationships with employees, clients, and the community, as well as the company’s leadership and the rights of its shareholders.
- Environmental criteria examine what strategies are in place for potential environmental risks and how a company plans to manage or mitigate such risks.
- Social criteria focus on a company’s relationship with its employees, clients, and community, how it performs regarding managing employee health and safety, and its stance on public issues.
- Governance refers to the amount of transparency and accuracy a company presents in accounting and reporting methods, as well as audits, leadership, executive pay, and shareholder rights.
