Yesterday, Samsung held their August Galaxy Unpacked event to announce new products including the Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, and the Galaxy Z Fold4. Each product includes new features and improvements in performance. Below is a summary of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked August 2022 event.
Galaxy Z Flip4 & Bespoken Edition
The Galaxy Z Flip4 includes brighter sensors and more powerful NPU than previous models, as well as increased pixel size from 1.4 to 1.8 microns to improve the clarity of photos. The Flip4’s OIS and VDIS helps capture nighttime videos and photos on the main display’s improved ultra-thin glass, made from Samsung’s strongest glass. On the new Flip4, the back camera becomes the front camera when the phone is flipped closed, with a full display of how the photo will turn out on the small back display. Notifications will appear on the newly customizable front screen when the phone is closed and enables users to reply to messages, make purchases, use the home app and much more all without opening the phone. In addition, the Galaxy Z Flip4 contains a smaller hinge and bolder camera housing compared to previous models to create improved space for the larger battery. Overall, users will be able to experience 19 hours of video playback, and 56 hours of audio playback. The new Flip4 is crafted with an armor aluminum frame, and comes in four matte finish shades including graphite, pink gold, blue and bora purple.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 also includes a Bespoken Edition, which includes more customizable options including five body colors and three frame colors that users can mix and match.
Galaxy Buds2 Pro
Redesigned with a different size and fit, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro also include improved audio quality such as Hi-Fi 24-bit audio with 256 times more audio information. The Buds2 Pro were developed with the Samsung Seamless Codec, which enables the sound to be transferred in its original full quality entirely wireless. The new Coaxial two-way speakers and intelligent 360 audio improve audio quality by processing sound signals with directional filters. The new earbuds also expand active noise cancellation by 40 percent. Galaxy Buds2 Pro can detect when users start talking, and will adjust sound automatically with Ambient Mode. Personalized beamforming allows calls to come in clearly, even with background noise, and later this year Galaxy Buds2 Pro will include LE audio.
One of the largest obstacles of using wireless earbuds is losing one or the other, but the Galaxy Buds2 Pro will now enable users to locate the earbud case, as well as the earbuds whether or not they are inside the case. Galaxy Buds2 Pro pair easily with all Samsung devices and automatically switch to your phone when users get a call.
All devices will be available with varying prices starting August 26.
