According to an article published by Reuters earlier today, Samsung will launch a refurbishment sales program within the next year. The program will use used devices from customers who sign up for a yearly upgrade program.
Apple has a well-established refurbished device program, so a Samsung refurbishment program will be an attractive option for consumers who prefer Android devices. Along with new customer convenience, this type of program will allow Samsung to sell premium devices at lower prices.
Reuters reports this program will be available throughout the U.S. and South Korea. Samsung will most likely not enact any plans until early 2017, so there will be reports of finalized program details in the future.
