Apple is anticipated to release the 10-year-anniversary version of the flagship smartphone, the iPhone, later this fall. The device is rumored to use Apple’s most advanced technology yet, and boasts a revamped display.
The 10-year anniversary iPhone’s improved display, camera and prospective AR and VR abilities have lead to a suspected price tag increase. Tim Bajarin, an Apple analyst, expects the new iPhone to be priced between $1,200 and $1,400, depending on the device’s storage and specs.
This price is a substantial ramp up from the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, with an iPhone 7 Plus pricing beginning at $769. Apple loyalists who choose to upgrade to the newest iPhone may also use a leasing program through Apple of their carrier of choice.
The 10-year anniversary iPhone is anticipated to be revealed later this year.
