Last week, Apollo Global Management Group announced their purchase of Outerwall for $1.6 billion, or $52 per share.

Outerwall is most notably known for its kiosk services including Redbox, Coinstar and most notably, ecoATM. Engaged Capital, an Outerwall investor, encouraged the parent company to shut down ecoATM in the past because of lost money. For this reason, it’s unclear if ecoATM will continue as usual after the merger.
