OnePlus announced a new device that will give the iPhone a run for its money, at half the price.
The Chinese startup revealed its follow up to last year’s OnePlus One yesterday evening. The new device will operate on the same principle idea of high-level smartphone specs at a lower cost.
Contract-free, the 64GB OnePlus 2 will run at $389. The new model will have a 5.5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 4GB of RAM, larger battery and an aluminum and magnesium frame, for an aesthetically pleasing, high-capability device.
Following the growing trend of using unlocked devices, the device will be sold unlocked, but will support AT&T and T-Mobile’s LTE networks. This gives users the freedom to use alternate networks outside the U.S. The OnePlus 2 will not be compatible with Verizon or Sprint.
