HOBI Weekly Blog Recap (11/27-11/30)
NTT Data, the IT services division of Japanese company NTT, has agreed to purchasing Dell Systems for more than $3 billion.
Dell’s quick agreement to the acquisition is in response to their purchase of EMC for $67 billion in 2015. The EMC acquisition is the largest tech deal in history, and Dell reportedly needs funds to help finance the debt needed for the deal.
The Japanese company’s acquisition of Dell’s IT consulting services will help NTT expand their overall client base into North America. NTT has previously acquired two large firms, Dimension and Keane Inc., to increase their overall international presence.
