HOBI Weekly Blog Recap (5/8-12/23)
LeakedSource, a site that collects leaked credentials, reports more than 30 million Twitter users’ passwords are up for sale. Twitter maintains none of their systems have been hacked.
If this report is true, a hacker by the alias of Tessa88 is selling a database that contains 32,330,400 Twitter credentials. The anonymous source is selling this information for 10 bitcoins, or around $5,800.
This report follows other major social media site information breaches, such as LinkedIn and MySpace. As with other credential leaks, users are encouraged to update passwords immediately to avoid any further data loss or access to other accounts.
