From the workplace to the hands of toddlers, mobility now struts it stuff on the football field.
As college football continues to rage, it’s not the game drawing fans to the stands at Ohio State University, but rather the marching band that has revolutionized the halftime show.
If you’ve ever been in a marching band, you can attest how difficult formations can be when sifting through hundreds of pages of drills and dots.
Two Ohio State students realized this inefficient system during last years off-season and proposed the idea of iPads instead of paper for the current marching year. The students’ idea was to replace the band’s outrageous $24,000 printing costs for iPads. Paper for digital? Seems reasonable.
In a win-win situation, the marching band was helping the environment, while simplifying organization and formation for squad leaders with the Drillbook Next software.
What does this unstoppable marching band have planned for the future? An iPad for each student!
That’s 225 iPads that will, undoubtedly, need everything from asset management to certified disposal throughout its life.
