The International Association of IT Asset Management’s (IAITAM) annual Spring ACE conference concluded last Thursday. HOBI International, Inc. president Craig Boswell spoke about the future of ITAM during a session last Wednesday afternoon.
Boswell’s session, called Chasing ROI and Efficiency in a Rapidly Changing ITAM World, examined the future of ITAM, data security, and the increasing regularity of mobile and IoT devices in the processing stream.
IoT and mobile adoption is growing at a rapid pace because of new devices’ sophisticated capabilities. Smartphones and tablets small size, but advanced computing abilities, are more attractive to consumers and enterprises alike, leading to more users utilizing mobile devices as their primary computing devices.
“One smartphone on the market is one server on the rack,” Boswell said.
Boswell is contributing to IAITAM’s BYOD: D for Device or D for Disaster? webinar May 17. Boswell will speak on the benefits and challenges of utilizing a BYOD policy in the enterprise. To sign up for this webinar, visit here.
