Problem Solving with vITAD: Re-imaging & Redeployment

The rapid evolution of technology has led to a digital age that requires constant upgrades and maintenance, becoming more costly to maintain every year. Over the last few years, the digital divide has increased tremendously, creating a large chasm between those with  access to technology and those without access.

ISRI Develops Toolkit for ESG Reporting

As one of the value-added IT asset disposition, or vITAD, service offerings, ESG reporting is a hot topic in the industry as a way to improve transparency, accountability, and environmental goals in the workplace. Many companies want to implement ESG goals but are unsure how, and The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) is working on a toolkit for its members to help get them started.

Is Virtual Reality the Future of Sustainable Electronics?

A significant reason technology is so popular is convenience. Everyday tasks can either be accomplished or aided in some way by technology. Laptops are convenient primarily because they offer many of the same benefits as a desktop but are designed for portable use. However, a common obstacle users face is the size of the screen. While desktops offer monitors ranging from 19 to 34 inches, laptops are typically limited to about 13 to 17 inches, which can become too large to carry comfortably. Sightful’s Spacetop recently developed a virtual reality technology that may hold the solution to larger screens.

Will AI Affect the e-Scrap Industry?

As technology advances and new components are launched, it’s important to understand how those inventions affect our everyday lives. The increasing use of artificial intelligence, in particular, offers plenty of advantages in making everyday life more convenient. For instance, the e-scrap industry can benefit from AI due to the nature and complexity of electronic devices, which have become challenging to tackle. Since these electronic devices are made up of various compound materials, removing them requires significant effort and time, not to mention how harmful it is to the environment.
