HOBI Weekly Blog Recap (4/24-28/23)

End-of-School-Year Recycling Tips 

As the school year winds down, students may find themselves with an abundance of leftover school supplies. Luckily, there’s plenty to do with used supplies like pencils, glue bottles, binders, pens, and small electronics. 

IAITAM ACE 2023 

The International Association of IT Asset Managers hosts its annual tradeshow and conference May 9-11 in Nashville, Tenn. This year HOBI’s president and co-founder, Craig Boswell, will discuss how new ITAD services are evolving from the traditional ITAD model during a session called vITAD – The Next Generation of ITAD Services. 

Reverse Logistics with a 3PL Provider 

In an age driven by technology, reverse logistics is becoming increasingly crucial. Reverse logistics is more than just transporting IT assets. It is getting them from point A to point B in one piece with no data leaks. In addition to asset transportation, reverse logistics includes proper storage and packaging to ensure IT hardware is not damaged, and sometimes the process can be overwhelming. 

4 Recycling Apps for the Summer 

A 2019 article by The Guardian points out that although the United States accounts for only 4 percent of the world’s population, it generates 12 percent of the world’s total waste. Nearly  75 percent of the total waste can be recycled.To keep the planet safe and toxin-free, we need to recycle and do it correctly. To accomplish this and make recycling as simple as possible, here are some recycling apps that will help us identify what and where to recycle to keep the environment clean and greener.
