- Apple’s iPhone X will be available for preorder today with shipments beginning Nov. 3. Due to the late November release, the smartphone market is expected to see an increase in sales as iPhone X’s replacement cycle flows into 2018 and the highest year-over-year smartphone growth since 2015.
- China’s import policy has led to massive market disruptions. - Amazon is taking digital assistant Alexa, a cloud-computing voice service, to the roads by partnering with Garmin and BMW. Both products, the Garmin Speak and select 2018 model BMWs integrated with Alexa, are slated to be released in mid-2018.
- Google recently implemented the Advanced Protection Program, a sophisticated cyber-protection, for high-end users who have a high risk of targeted online attacks. The new security program will focus on three core defenses: phishing, accidental sharing, and fraudulent account access.
