  • Counterfeiting argument continues, experts question validity
    • Earlier this month, the Coalition for American Electronics Recycling (CAER) proposed the Secure E-waste Export and Recycling Act (SEERA). SEERA aims to provide framework regarding the exportation of electronics to prevent the circulation of counterfeited goods.
  • Global e-scrap recycling market anticipated to exceed $30 billion
    • Transparency Market Research reports the global electronic scrap recycling market will reach $34.3 billion by 2022. The market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.2 percent.
  • Verizon buying  Yahoo for $4.8 billion
    • After months of bidding, Verizon will officially acquire Yahoo’s operating business. The acquisition will go for $4.83 billion in cash, and consist of Yahoo’s advertising technology, mobile and search content, including Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Finance and Tumblr.
