28th Annual Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference
For 28 years, the WBDC has provided a conference focused on meeting the needs of women and minority business owners in the Midwest. The EWC offers women business owners the opportunity to increase the profitability of their businesses by building relationships with corporate and government buyers, business experts and other women business owners.
As a certified women’s business enterprise (WBE), HOBI International experts, including CEO, Cathy Hill, will showcase IT and mobile asset management solutions at booth 209 on 9/17.
Cathy Hill is co-founder and CEO of HOBI. As the founding member of HOBI’s board, Cathy has overseen the growth both operationally and strategically. She continues to be responsible for the day-to-day operation of HOBI’s Batavia facility. Cathy personally oversees contract negotiations as well as relationships with most of HOBI’s large clientele.
The term WBENC stands for Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
A WBENC certification is specifically for women-owned businesses. This progressive certification shows diversity in the marketplace and is a great way to promote your company to major corporations actively seeking to conduct business with woman/women owned organizations. Companies with a WBENC certification have access to a variety of other tools and events not accessible to the general public.
WBENC Certification validates that the business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. To achieve WBENC Certification, women owned businesses complete a formal documentation and site visit process which is administered by one of WBENC’s 14 Regional Partner Organizations. WBENC Certification gives women owned businesses the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC Corporate Members and government agencies.
