For more than 25 years, HOBI International, Inc. has delivered dependable asset management solutions that prioritize client security, cost-efficiency, environmental well-being and legislation compliance. HOBI was founded and incorporated in the State of Illinois in 1992 as a privately held corporation. Our strict focus remains on the complete environmental disposition of post-consumption, manufacturing and mixed electronic surplus and scrap.
HOBI pioneered a process for the disposition of electronics focused on maximizing economic return and the elimination of potential environmental liability. In 1994, in an effort to better serve nationwide contracts, HOBI expanded its operations to include a facility in Dallas, Texas, and opened a facility in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2012.
HOBI International is a full service R2, RIOS, ISO 14001 and WBE-certified asset management and electronics recycling service provider with systems designed to maximize the client’s return on obsolete assets while minimizing processing costs. These systems include a custom designed data management system that allows HOBI to provide accurate and concise reporting on all aspects of material processing including logistics information, logistics costs, asset serialization and configuration, redeployment schedules, sales history, and scrap summaries. This system has been designed to handle the data tracking and reporting requirements of large, multi-sited corporations, government, educational and service organizations.
Presently, HOBI has established IT asset management service agreements with a number of Fortune 500 companies, leasing organizations, electronics manufacturers and medium to large users of electronics equipment.
