“Right on schedule,” Apple chief executive officer, Tim Cook, says while discussing the Apple Watch April release date.
The Apple Watch is just the start of wearable tech for this company. Released as three models – Apple Watch, Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Sport – all are fully equipped with inductive charging, a square face, sapphire glass, swappable bands, a heartbeat sensor and a rotating digital crown. A “digital crown” on the side of the device, which also serves as a home button, controls the Apple Watch.
The Price & Battery Life
The Apple Watch battery life is rumored to have 19 hours of “mixed use” or 2.5 hours of active use. The cost is $349 for the lower-end version of the Apple Watch, but the prices of the higher end versions are unknown.
But, have they fixed the ‘leftie’ dilemma?
Lefties weren’t as impressed during the Apple Event with this new Apple gadget, as the “digital crown” cannot be conveniently utilized when worn on the right hand. However, according to recent spec releases, lefties have the option of a face suitable to them.
Here’s another catch, you have to have an iPhone to even use the Apple Watch.
Will Samsung enthusiasts make the complete conversion to Apple?
In addition, Apple developed something it calls “digital touch” to allow you to quickly share a sketch or a few taps to grab someone’s attention that will appear on the face of the watch. Since the watch doesn’t have a keyboard, these sketches allow you to still communicate relatively complex ideas easily. Maybe it’s time to bring back Morse code.
