The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council is underway in Nashville, and as a WBE-certified business, HOBI remains committed to prioritizing diversity and continued progress in the workplace.
The Women’s Business Development Center is the oldest, largest, and most comprehensive women’s business assistance center in the United States. With programs designed to help individuals in every phase of the business development and growth process, WBDC is a non-profit that provides a meeting place focused on the needs of women and minority business owners.
A WBENC certification is specifically for women-owned businesses and shows diversity in the marketplace for those seeking to conduct business with a woman-owned company.
A WBENC Certification validates that the business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman. In order to achieve WBENC Certification, women-owned businesses complete a formal documentation and site visit process administered by one of WBENC’s 14 Regional Partner Organizations.
HOBI co-founder and CEO Cathy Hill is the founding member of HOBI’s board, and has overseen the growth of the business since its inception. In addition to her role as CEO, Cathy is responsible for the day-to-day operations of HOBI’s Batavia facility and personally oversees contract negotiations and relationships with most of HOBI’s clients.
In addition to our WBE certification, HOBI is R2v3, RIOS, and ISO-14001 certified, with more than 30 years of experience in the industry and services ranging from data security and erasure to reverse logistics.
