It only takes 90 seconds to see what Apple has in store for us this fall. Let’s take a look at what went down at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday.
After skimming through the highlights of WWDC, spectators wonder if Apple is just playing catch up to Android and Samsung not only in its operating system but its design, as well.
Oh the precious phablet (part phone-part tablet) that sets Samsung users apart from Apple Geeks. Well, Apple plans to one-up Samsung by introducing two models of the iPhone 6, one considered to be a phablet. While the smaller version is predicted to release a month prior to the larger, consumers now expect high-end devices to have large displays, and Apple’s absence in this market will clearly not last long.
#2 Water resistant shell
It is likely that the iPhone 6 will have an outer shell that can repel water and other of life’s little accidents, similar to Samsung’s popular, waterproof models.
#3 Suggested text
The beloved swipe text is predicted to make its way into iOS8. This suggested text mechanism common in Android systems may level the playing field a little.
Does Apple want a supersized, Android-esque phone? Who knows. Do they need it to succeed? Absolutely.
