The R2 Standard has a new milestone to celebrate. In just 9 years since it’s release more than 700 facilities across 30 countries are now R2 certified! This means that safer and more sustainable practices are being implemented worldwide and that more companies are opting to operate under the oversight of independent auditors.
Since 2008, the R2 Standard has raised the bar by inputting positive changes in the industry by requiring better environmental, health and safety practices, as well as more downstream accountability. With a revision in 2013, the R2 Standard called for an even more rigorous requirements for data security, downstream accountability, legal compliance, and testing of reusable equipment.
